Seven held for murder at Trinamool office

The West Bengal police on Friday arrested seven persons in connection with the murder of local don Srinu Naidu inside a Trinamool Congress (TMC) party office at Kharagpur town on Wednesday.

Bharati Ghosh, Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur, said the murder was aimed at creating a law and order situation in Kharagpur town so that other goons could take advantage of it and seize control. Those arrested had a history of enmity with Srinu Naidu, he said.
