Youth found murdered

A youth was found dead near the railway track in Sundaram Pillai Nagar, Vyasarpadi, on Wednesday. His face and body parts were mutilated.

A passer-by informed the Vyasarpadi police. The body was sent to the Government Stanley Hospital. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Police are investigating all angles, including the possibility of his being murdered by drug peddlers or due to previous enmity.

Auto driver dies

An autorickshaw driver died of injuries at the Goverment Kilpauk Hospital. He was admitted after being stabbed by his friend in Aminjikarai a few days ago. Police said the victim Immanuel (30) and his friend Chinnathambi were auto drivers based out of a stand in Aminjikarai. On May 28, they got into a fight over a trip. A furious Chinnathambi stabbed Immanuel.
