Women’s guild celebrates eighth anniversary

Kodambakkam Exnora Women’s Guild celebrated its eighth anniversary recently. As part of the celebrations, the Guild gave Rs. 20,000 worth assistance to Sri Harihara Sudha Seva Samithi, an orphanage in Mugappair.

The Guild, which has more than 100 members from Kodambakkam and surrounding areas, has been assisting women, children, differently-abled and mentally challenged children.

In addition to this, it is very active in civic and environmental protection activities in the area.

The Guild has provided assistance of over Rs. 6 lakhs to more than 20 organisations in and around Chennai.

Environmental projects

Meenakshi, president of the guild, said that it has successfully implemented several environmental projects over the years.

R. Govindaraj, joint general secretary, Exnora International, and Anand Laxman, Senator, Exnora International, were special invitees.

On behalf of the Guild, Mrs. Meenakshi handed over provisions, clothes and children’s items to representatives from Sri Harihara Sudha Seva Samithi.
