Woman slaps bus conductor in Chennai

January 25, 2014 09:06 am | Updated May 13, 2016 12:17 pm IST - CHENNAI:

A 32-year-old woman passenger slapped an MTC bus conductor with her footwear in a moving bus on Anna Salai on Thursday night following an argument.

Radhika, who was travelling in the bus on route B-18, got into an argument with Moorthy (40) after the vehicle did not stop at Vanavil bus stop near Teynampet.

Moorthy allegedly used abusive language and she hit him with the footwear in retaliation. “One of Radhika’s co-passengers wanted to get down. But since it was an express bus, the conductor did not agree. Radhika spoke on behalf of the other passenger,” said K. Murugesan, Anna Salai inspector.
