Woman found dead in aircraft at airport

A 41-year-old woman was found dead in an aircraft that had landed at Chennai airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Anita Jamathia, wife of Krishnamani, airport police said, had boarded the flight at Agartala and was on her way to Chennai for treatment for a heart ailment.

She was travelling along with her husband and their sons.

The flight had a stopover at Kolkata and reached Chennai around 1.45 at noon.

Police said she was found unconscious when the flight landed at the airport.

An airport medical team checked her and pronounced her dead.

Her body was then taken to Tambaram Taluk Government Hospital for post-mortem, police said.

They added that the exact cause of her death will be ascertained only after they receive the post-mortem report.
