A three-day housing expo at Valluvar Kottam was inaugurated by Minister for Information and Urban Development Parithi EIlamvazhuthi here on Friday.

The ‘Grahaprevesam Housing Expo 2010' has stalls showcasing new projects undertaken by builders, home furnishings, real estate services, building materials and other needs to own or set up a home.

Budget housing starting from Rs.7 lakh to plots priced from Rs.123 per sq ft onwards, in the outskirts of Chennai, are among the projects showcased at the exhibition.

The Stock Holding Corporation of India has put up a stall to create more awareness about the safety features in e-stamping.

The fair is being organised by Building and Construction Publications, and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Entry to the exhibition is free.
