Water Expo, the seventh edition of the annual exhibition hosted by ‘Water Today’, a monthly publication, will be held next month.

Nearly 300 exhibitors, from 45 countries, are expected to showcase their products and technological advancements in the water and waste water industry.

The exhibition will be held at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, from February 7 to 9.

Former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is expected to inaugurate the event.

S. Shanmugam, managing director of Water Today, said, with growing number of competitors, the market for drinking water and industrial products has increased by 10-12 per cent over the past year.

The prices of domestic water products too have come down by at least 10 per cent in the city. Naina Shah, editor of ‘Water Today’, said a conference at the expo would have technical sessions on solutions to recycle waste water and the latest strategies in water management.

The expo will also provide an opportunity for domestic consumers to make informed choices about products from the water and waste water industry, an organiser said.
