Not happy with the footpaths outside your home? The next time you engage with your ward councillor, you can approach them not just with a grievance, but with a solution. As part of its project to measure walkability, NGO Transparent Chennai, is conducting a ‘Community Design Workshop’ in Nanganallur on Saturday.

Data about pavements collected on May 19 in the neighbourhood will be presented and the two-part workshop will inform participants about what constitutes good pedestrian infrastructure. It will also allow them to design a cross-section of a street. The workshop is being held at 26, Moogambigai Flats, Bharathiyar Ist street, Pazhavanthangal.
