A week after the release of Kaththi , actor Vijay celebrated the success of his film with members of the press at a five-star hotel in Guindy.

At a time when the actor’s films are consistently getting into trouble before their release, it was expected that Vijay would make a statement.

The actor, dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans, was at his cordial best as he shook hands with journalists, thanking them for their support. However, he refused to answer questions.

Social media has been abuzz with controversies surrounding the film, which have refused to died down even after the film’s release.

While allegations have been levelled at A.R. Murugadoss of appropriating someone else’s story, Vijay has been criticised for his ‘double speak’: starring in a movie against unauthorised extraction of groundwater while having been a brand ambassador of a popular cola company.
