In a move to introduce more career-oriented programmes, Vels University, Pallavaram will offer 20 new courses this academic year.
The courses range from B. Tech in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering to LLB. Students will also be able to opt for courses like M.Sc. in Cheminformatics and diploma in Green Chemistry, Ishar K. Ganesh, founder-chancellor of Vels University, told the press on Tuesday.
He added that this year, they would be offering over Rs. 7 crore worth of scholarships for deserving candidates.
The university recently completed the entrance test for various courses. The results of the test will be available on May 18. Details of the new courses available will be available onwww.velsuniv.ac.in
