Varsha wins third title in National billiards and Snooker

Bangalore schoolgirl Varsha Sanjeev registered a come-from-behind victory to clinch her third title in the ongoing National billiards and snooker championship here today.

Varsha, the 15-year-old from Sophia’s High School, defeated Keerath Bhandaal from Delhi 127-97 in the junior girls billiards final. She had earlier won the sub-junior girls billiards and snooker crowns.

Varsha posted breaks of 14, 12 and 15 in the one-hour time format final to emerge victorious.

The event received only nine entries of whom three pulled out.

I Lahari of Andhra Pradesh beat Arya Pimple 126-86 in the third place match.
