As part of the international exchange programme, the Dean of Academic Resources from Sheffield Hallam University, U.K., Professor Terrence Perera, visited Vels University, Pallavaram, and conducted a series of lectures on ‘Supply Chain Modelling and Simulations.’

The series of modules were built to explain the different features of Simulation Software. The US based Simulation Llama Software Company provided students with academic version of the Simulation Software. This software has been widely used to optimise the supply chain. One of the strengths of this software was that it was not necessary to have a deep understanding of simulation.

In addition, Professor Perera convened a seminar on Business Process Management for the faculties of Vels University and management students.

The students of MBA Supply Chain Management said that the seminar was so informative and theclasses were helpful and provided a new learning experience.
