According to city police sources, officers Craig Maggee and Mark Hughes of the Kidnapping and Special Investigation Unit of the Scotland Yard met Mr. George and his colleagues and collected documents pertaining to the abduction of Thavaraja (59) and his wife Salaja (55) on May 29, 2013, from outside Chennai airport.
The officers gathered evidence towards the prosecution of two suspects arrested in the UK.
