Two men found dead

November 05, 2012 02:25 am | Updated 08:28 pm IST - KANCHEEPURAM:

Two persons accused of murder were found dead at Keelambakkam in Guduvanchery police station limit on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Dheena of Keelambakkam and his friend, Kumaresan of Mannivakkam

According to the police, the murder came to light on Sunday morning when passersby noticed blood stains near the hut the duo lived in. When they went inside, they found the two men lying dead with cuts all over their bodies.

Subsequently, the Guduvanchery police were informed about this and the bodies were moved to a government hospital for post-mortem.

Senior police officers visited the scene of crime and made enquiries with locals about the duo.

Both of them had been arrested by Guduvanchery police last year along with five others in connection with a murder.

They were released on bail five months ago and were operating hired autorickshaws in Chennai and suburban areas, the police said.

Kumaresan, who was reportedly in love with a woman in Keelambakkam, often stayed with Dheena, who lived in the same area. The two men had taken the hut on rent from Iqbal of Keelambakkam.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Dheena was involved in a conflict with Vimalraj of Otteri over a petty issue.

The Guduvanchery police who have registered a case are pursuing these two leads. They also suspect it could be revenge killing over last year’s murder.
