Two killed in accidents at Madhavaram

Two persons died in road accidents in Madhavaram on Wednesday night.

According to the police, Sundaram, 38, a lorry driver from Chakkaraichettypatti village, Salem, had parked his lorry on the side of the road in Manjambakkam and was returning after having tea. While crossing the road, he was run over by a car. The police have arrested the car driver Raja.

In another incident, Imranudin, 26, of Old Washermanpet, an employee of a private company, was riding a two-wheeler on Maduravoyal Bypass Road when he was hit by a lorry. He died on the spot. The police have arrested the lorry driver Ezhumalai, 30, of Tiruverkadu.
