Twenty years young and counting

The Hindu Young World is organising a grand birthday party on its 20th anniversary that will see a host of exciting events. Karun Chandhok, Formula One racer, will be the chief guest for the event to be held at Kamaraj Hall, Teynampet, on November 25.

The celebrations will begin with an address by Nirmala Lakshman, Joint Editor, The Hindu . The Postmaster General, Chennai City Region, M.S. Ramanujan, will release the Young World Special First day cover, which will be received by N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu .

The special cover commemorates Young World's journey spanning 20 years that has given readers a treasure to read and preserve.

The event will also witness the launch of ‘Forever Young' – Young World collectors' edition – which features the best fiction and non-fiction from the earlier issues of the supplement since its inception in 1990.

Mr. Chandhok will release the book. National award winning child actors Kishore and Sreeraam will receive the first copies. ‘Forever Young' is sure to be readers' favourite with creatively designed easy-to access sections for young readers of all ages.

The much waited grand finale of the YW Quiz will see edgy competition between the participants to emerge the winner of the national level contest.

Nivedita and Anjana, editor and designer, of ‘Forever Young' will be felicitated at the event. The prize distribution ceremony will be held at the end.
