TV channel employee arrested

An employee of Jaya TV was arrested on the charge of allegedly leaking a clipping of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa meeting Tughlak magazine editor Cho Ramaswamy at a private hospital in Chennai recently.

The cyber cell of the city police’s Central Crime Branch said visual editor Shakthivel, 35, allegedly downloaded the video from Jaya TV and it went viral on social media.

A case under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act has been registered. He was remanded in judicial custody, the police added. — Staff Reporter
