Trip to Sastra University

To commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan and to celebrate the National Year of Mathematics, students will be taken to Sastra University, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam, for attending lecture demonstration classes on September 26 and 27, organised by the Nehru Children’s Cultural Association.

Trip fee

Students will be visiting Ramanujan Museum and Ramanujan’s House at Kumbakonam as a part of this trip. Dr. K. Kannan, Dean, H&S Head of the Department of Mathematics, Sastra University, will give lecture. Tour fee is Rs. 1,800 per student. Interested students can call M.R. Sugumaran, president, Nehru Children’s Cultural Association at 81444 16484. Today (Sept. 9) is the last day to register.
