Traffic diversions today

The Chennai Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions for today in view of Thevar Jayanthi.

As various organisations will garland the statue at Anna Salai - Nandanam Junction, the diversions will be implemented temporarily with effect from 8 a.m.

Participants coming from South Chennai towards the venue will alight at Anna Salai - Link Road Junction (Periyar Building) and park their vehicles around CIT Nagar Park, Model Hutment Road, Sathullah Road, South West Boag Road.

Participants coming from north Chennai towards the venue will have to alight at Nandanam Junction near the Agriculture office and park their vehicles at YMCA Ground. Participants coming from TTK Salai, Chamiers Road, Gandhimandapam Road will alight at Nandanam Junction near the Agriculture office and park their vehicles at YMCA Ground.

Temporary one-way diversion will be enforced on the stretch of TTK Salai from Chamiers Road up to Alwarpet with entry from TTK Salai - Chamiers Road Junction.

Vehicles will not be allowed entry from CP Ramasamy - K.B Dasan and TTK Salai Junction towards Park Sheraton. These vehicles will take the route via CPR Road, Bilroth Hospital, and take a right turn to reach TTK - Chamiers Road Junction.

The stretch of GKM flyover will be a one way, with entry from Annasalai - Cenetoph Road and ‘No Entry’ from Kotturpuram Bridge side.

Except for vehicles of participants, other vehicles on Annasalai going towards Saidapet will be diverted towards Cenotaph Road, GK Moopanar Bridge, Kotturpuram Bridge, Gandhimandapam Point to reach their destination, and vehicles coming from Gandhimandapam Road will not be allowed towards Nandanam. These vehicles will instead be diverted at Turn bulls Junction towards TTK - Chamiers Road Junction to reach their destination.

Vehicles coming from Cenotaph Road service road will not be allowed towards Nandanam. They will be diverted towards Kotturpuram Bridge to reach their destination.
