Traffic diversions for World Cup match

The police have announced certain changes in the traffic movement near M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk for the World Cup cricket match on Sunday. Bells Road will be made one-way with entry from Wallajah Road. Entry from side roads into Bells Road would be restricted. The one-way will be reversed on completion of the match. Canal Road will be one-way with entry from Bharathi Salai and there will be no entry from Wallajah Road.

Vehicles will not be allowed on Wallajah Road and Bells Road junction upto Canal Road. The traffic changes will be in force from 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Vehicles without passes coming on Anna Salai must take Wallajah Road, Bells Road, Bharathi Salai, Kamaraj Salai, Foreshore Road and should be parked on Madras University and PWD compound. Parking will also be allowed on Foreshore Road.

Traffic police has also arranged special parking spots around the stadium for vehicles with passes.
