The city traffic police announced a traffic diversion to be effected on Sunday between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. on OMR from near Thiruvanmiyur MRTS station up to the Sholinganallur signal junction in view of the Wipro Chennai Marathon Run 2017.
The incoming direction lane on OMR will be closed between the Tidel Park signal junction and the Sholinganallur signal junction. All incoming and outgoing vehicles should use the same on the outgoing direction lane on OMR. Vehicles going towards the Tidel park signal from Madhya Kailash can proceed on S.V. Patel Road up to Adyar signal and take a right towards L.B. Road up to Lattice Bridge via the Thiruvanmiyur junction.
Vehicles proceeding towards Madhya Kailash from the Sholinganallur signal junction should use the outgoing direction lane on OMR up to Tidel Park junction, take the right to Thiruvanmiyur junction, and then the left to Adyar junction to reach their destinations.
Vehicles going towards the SRP Tools junction from the Vijayanagaram junction shall use Velachery Main road and Gandhi Road respectively to reach their destination.
Vehicles are not allowed along Dr. MGR Road from the Apollo Hospital signal Junction up to Tamilnadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (MRTS Track).
