Traffic diversion for Metro Rail work

In view of the Metro Rail construction work to be carried out on the 100-feet Road-2nd Avenue Road junction, traffic police has made certain changes in the vehicular movement at the junction. The changes will come into effect on Wednesday and will be in place for a minimum of 10 days. According to a release, buses coming from Kodambakkam bridge and bound for Vadapalani will not be allowed to ply through the 2nd Avenue Road. Instead, they will diverted via Duraisamy Salai, South Sivan Koil Street and pass through 100 ft Road and North Sivan Koil Street to reach Arcot Road. From there buses can take a right at 100 ft Road to reach Koyambedu.

Route numbers 5E, G70, M18N and M18M should ply via Duraisamy Salai and 2nd Avenue, turn right at 100 ft Road and take a U-turn at 3 rd Avenue to reach P.T. Rajan Salai and proceed to K.K. Nagar. Motorists heading for Ashok Nagar through P.T. Rajan Salai should take a right at Kamaraj Salai, pass through Natesan Street, reach 100 ft Road and take a U-turn at PTC junction to proceed to Ashok Pillar.
