Tondiarpet hospital to offer health inspector course

The Communicable Diseases Hospital in Tondiarpet will start offering a Health Inspector Course.

As many as 30 candidates are expected to be selected for the one-year course. The government has already given its nod following the request by the Chennai Corporation in March 2016. Faculty members for the course would be hired shortly. The Chennai Corporation Council passed a resolution on September 7, 2016 permitting the launch of the course in 2016-2017. Priority will be given for children of Corporation workers, basic health workers and students of Corporation schools and government schools.

The Chennai Corporation plans to offer more courses following the reconstruction of the hospital.
