Three supporters of Dhinakaran arrested

Three supporters of sidelined AIADMK leader T.T.V. Dhinakaran were arrested for allegedly raising slogans against candidates of other political parties during the filing of nominations for the byelection to R.K. Nagar Assembly Constituency.

According to police, D. Babu, 52, of Washermenpet, S. Selvam, 48, of Tondiarpet and P. Thangamani, 56, of Tiruvottiyur allegedly disrupted the filing of nomination by other candidates on Friday.

Following violation of the Model Code of Conduct, flying squad official Selvakumar lodged a complaint with the police who arrested the three men.
