Three murders were reported in the city on Saturday including a suspected case of murder for gain of an elderly man in Chrompet, a severed body of an unidentified man in Tondiapet and the case of a son pushing his father to death.

According to police sources, the body of man without and a hand and a leg was found in Patel Nagar, Tondiarpet near the IOC bus terminus by passersby at dawn. The victim’s limbs were spotted few metres from the spot.

In the murder case in Chromepet, the 72-year-old hardware owner was found lying in a pool of blood in his house by one of employees.

In Valasaravakkam, a 40-year-old son pushed his father following an argument over division of property early on Saturday. The senior citizen died in hospital soon after, sources added.
