Three killed

Three persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident on the GST Road near Achirapakkam on Saturday.

A car running toward Dindivanam overturned, hitting the median. Three occupants of the car - Manoharan (46), Nagaraj (26) and Ameer (52) - of Thandarampattu in Tiruvannamalai district, died on the spot.

In another accident, one person was killed and two were injured after they were hit by a van near Guduvancheri on Sunday.

Kali of Thazhampattu was waiting at the bus stop, along with his wife, Manjula and daughter, to go to Red Hills. While Manjula died on the spot after the speeding van hit them, Kali and Lavanya were referred to Chennai, police said.
