Threat to Jayalalithaa: cases registered

The police have registered two cases in connection with the letters containing threat messages to AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa.

Following complaints, after the letters were received by the Jaya TV office here, the Guindy police have registered the cases, Commissioner of Police T. Rajendran said in a press release. The release said Ms.Jayalalithaa enjoys Z-Plus category and NSG security. Two officials in the rank of deputy superintendent of police, 3 Inspectors, 12 sub Inspectors and 58 constables are part of the security at her residence and office.
