The trees along the road sides can sometimes prove hazardous to the public. Last year, the Fire and Rescue Services department received some 150 calls about falling trees and building collapses in November and December. Adding to these natural threats are the road cuts in the city for various civic projects. A look into the problems that makes commuting a challenge during monsoon and tree falls in Chennai.
