A 14-year-old boy was electrocuted when he tried to remove a kite from an electricity post near his house at Kundrathur on Sunday.

According to the police, Harish Dhandapani, 14, was electrocuted when he climbed up a tree and tried to take out a kite caught in a high-tension power cable. He was rushed to a hospital in Porur where he was declared dead on arrival.
