The investigation in the Swathi murder case has reached a crucial point with the Chennai City Police organising an identification parade of the murder accused Ramkumar in the Puzhal Central Jail on Tuesday.
While the police are tight lipped about the details of the parade, sources who were witness to the parade said that at the identification operation the main accused Ramkumar was placed along with eight other persons for the two witnesses, including Swathi’s father Santhana Gopalakrishnan, to identify the culprit.
The identification parade was carried out in the presence of a judicial magistrate deputed by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate inside the high-security jail premises.
Swathi, an Infosys employee, was murdered in the Nungambakkam Railway Station on June 24.
