Tamil theatre festival begins on Friday

Tamil Nadaga Vizha 2014, by The Hindu Friday Review , kickstarts at 7 p.m. on Friday with Vadavooran , a production on Manickavachagar’s life and his inner journey.

The theatre festival, to be held at Narada Gana Sabha, will be spread over the weekend with five more plays: Endru Thaniyum Indha Sudhanthira Dhagam by United Visuals, Paritchaikku Neramaachu by UAA, Kadavul Vandhirundhar by Sujatha, Chocolate Krishna by Crazy Creations and Konjam Yosinga Boss by Visu.

Tickets can be purchased at www.thehindu.com/tnv2014, www.bookmyshow.com, www.indianstage.in, www.madrasevents.in and www.eventjini.com, and redeemed at the venue.

Tickets will also be available at the venue from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ticket rates are: daily pass – Rs. 500/Rs. 300/Rs. 200/Rs. 100, season pass – Rs. 2,400/Rs. 1,500/Rs. 1,000/Rs. 500.
