Even as special teams are probing a Karnataka connection in the murder of S. Swathi, the police from Tuesday night started going door to door at Choolaimedu, seeking information about the suspect. Sources said the sketch of the suspect was ready.

Special teams are checking if anything that took place in Karnataka during her stay there led to the murder. “We are also checking where the aruval was purchased from,” said a senior police officer.

The police also visited the Infosys training centre in Mysore where Swathi had undergone training prior to joining her Chennai office.

The teams has also collected call details from Choolaimedu and surrounding areas.

“We are checking those that are suspicious. We are also interrogating a few people in connection with the case. We are questioning a few who were found in the CCTV footage to get some clues,” said an officer.

The police teams are also trying their luck to see if any resident of Choolaimedu is able to identify the accused. The special police teams went to all the streets, including those at Sowrashtra Nagar and off Choolaimedu High Road.
