Sumo wrestlers will be here next week as part of ‘Techofes 2012', the annual cultural festival of the College of Engineering Guindy.
A Sumo wrestling match between Kelly Gneiting and Byambajav Ulambayar will be the highlight of the fest to be held from February 15 to 18 on the CEG campus. The wrestlers will be accompanied by announcer Andrew Fredrick.
The event, ‘Rage of Thunder' is an attempt to showcase a piece of Japan's culture in Chennai, said V.P. Gautham, president, Students Association and Arts Society, which is organising ‘Techofes 2012.'
“Apart from this, we have several events such as a dance competition with cash prizes up to Rs.1 lakh and French cookery workshops,” he said at a press conference here on Thursday.
The Hindu is the media partner for ‘Techofes 2012.'
