Students take out rally against drug abuse

Schoolchildren took out a rally here on Saturday to mark the ‘International Day against Drug abuse and Illicit Trafficking.'

The participants from various higher secondary and high schools assembled near Sri Chitraguptan temple on at around 10 a.m.

The rally flagged off by the District Collector (in-charge) and District Revenue Officer, S. Sivarasu, wended its way through bus stand, Kamarajar Salai, Vallal Pachaiyappan Salai, Karukinilamarthaval Koil Street and Vandavasi Road to reach the District Collectorate campus.

Students carried placards highlighting the ill-effects and raised slogans against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
