Student dies

A 21-year-old engineering student fell from the third floor of his college building in Avadi, and died on Monday morning.

According to police, Mohamaed Zoyal Akhthar from Jharkhand was studying at a private engineering college. On Monday, he had gone to the college to find out if his practical examination was on.

As it was not, he then went to the third floor of the college’s fourth block to meet a friend. He was seated on a railing and waiting, when he slipped and fell. He was rushed to the hospital, but died on the way.
