Student dies in bike accident

A 21-year-old two-wheeler rider was killed on GST Road near Pazhavanthangal after his vehicle collided with another two-wheeler on Tuesday.

According to police sources, Ajay Samson of Pammal, was proceeding to Tambaram on GST Road. While negotiating a traffic signal near Pazhavanthangal, his two-wheeler collided with a vehicle driven by Sankara Sastri, 51, of Pammal, who took a right turn towards Nanganallur. While Sastri escaped with minor injuries, Ajay succumbed to his wounds before he could be taken to a hospital, the police said. Doctors at the private hospital where he was admitted declared him ‘dead on arrival’.

Ajay was a BCA student at a college in Tambaram.
