State-level conference on primary education on January 8th

A State-level conference on primary education here on January 8 would focus on various topics, including teaching and learning in primary schools, school policies in primary classes and children’s interests and needs, a top official of city based St. John’s International Residential School said here on Monday.

The theme of the conference would be “Today’s child- Curriculum and Challenges” St. John’s International Residential School, Senior Principal, R. Kishore Kumar, also the event coordinator told reporters here.

He said Director of School Education P. Perumal Samy would be the chief guest for the event.

The resolutions taken during the conference would also be presented to the State and Central governments.

Mr. Kumar also announced establishment of new generation schools for children under the brand “St John’s Plus Kids“.

The school would cater to pre-primary, primary and middle school students and would be established as a chain of schools, he added.
