In an effort to involve the voters in decision making and utilisation of constituency development fund, DMK treasurer and MLA representing the Kolathur constituency, M.K. Stalin, launched a novel programme, Pesalam Vaanga .
“The objective of the meeting is to facilitate a conversation between the voters and me. They can express what they want me to do for the constituency,” Mr Stalin said, while addressing a first meeting at Periyar Nagar.
As his efforts to address the grievances of local people through a helpline—7810878108—met with a huge success, Mr. Stalin started this new initiative.
His constituency has been divided into 45 units and Pesalam Vaanga will provide a platform for the local residents to know the progress of various projects and to voice their complaints. The meeting will be organised at regular intervals of two months.
