Sringeri Shankaracharya in Chennai

The Shankaracharya of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Bharati Tirtha Mahaswami, is in Chennai as part of his Dakshina Bharatha Vijaya Yatra.

The Shankaracharya will perform Vyasa puja on July 3 and observe Chaturmasya vrata here.

As per his itinerary, the Swami is camping at Sri Sringeri Jagadhguru Sankara Math in Krupa Sankarai Street, West Mambalam, on June 23, 24 and 25.

According to the organisers, Sri Sarada Chandramouleeswara pooja will be performed by the priest at the Sankara Math at 7 p.m. on June 24 and the Swami will bless devotees till 12.30 p.m. There will be a musical programme by Carnatic vocalist N. Vijay Siva at 7 p.m. On Monday, the Acharya will leave for his next venue. For details, call 2483 5701.
