Special trains introduced between Howrah and Chennai

Southern Railway has announced premium special trains between Howrah and Chennai Central.

Train no. 02841 Howrah-Chennai Central premium special train will leave at 12.40 p.m. on April 7, 14 and 21, and reach Chennai at 2.50 p.m. the next day.

Train no. 02842 Chennai Central–Howrah premium special train will leave at 5.10 p.m. on April 8, 15 and 22, and reach Howrah at 6.30 p.m. the next day.

Advance reservations will begin from March 29.

To clear extra rush of passengers, fully unreserved ‘Jan Sadharan’ bi-weekly superfast special trains will be operated between Santragachi, near Howrah, and Chennai Central.

Train no. 02807 Santragachi-Chennai Central bi-weekly superfast special will leave at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from April 1 to June 27, and reach Chennai at 11.45 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.

Train no. 02808 Chennai Central–Santragachi bi-weekly superfast special will leave Chennai at 7.55 a.m. on Fridays and Mondays, from April 3 to June 29, and reach Santragachi at 10.25 a.m. on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
