Southern Railway will run special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer months of April, May and June.
The special trains have been introduced in the Chennai Central-Madgaon-Chennai (via.Shoranur, Mangalore Jn.), Coimbatore–Chennai Central–Coimbatore Tiruchchirappalli–Chennai Egmore, Nagercoil–Chennai Egmore, Chennai Central–Nagercoil, Nagercoil–Mangalore Jn., Chennai Central–Kollam (via. Alappuzha), Chennai Central–Kollam (via. Coimbatore, Kottayam), Chennai Central–Mangalore Central, Chennai Central– Rameswaram, Chennai Egmore–Tiruchendur, Chennai Egmore–Tuticorin, Chennai Egmore–Sengottai sectors.

Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on Thursday.
Southern Railways also informs that the T.No.06031/06032 Chennai Egmore–Coimbatore–Chennai Egmore Weekly Superfast Specials scheduled to run from February 18 to March 27 have been cancelled due to operational reasons.
