Suburban train schedule modified for Temple festival

In view of the Arupathumoovars festival at Kapaleeswarar Temple in Mylapore on April 2, the Southern Railway has announced the following special trains:

Passenger special number 1 will leave Chennai Beach at 10.20 p.m and reach Velachery at 11.05 p.m.

Passenger special number 2 will leave Velachery at 11.15 p.m and reach Chennai Beach at midnight.

Suburban train services cancelled

Besides, due to line block/power block to facilitate engineering works in the Tambaram-Chengalpattu section, the following changes will be made in the pattern of suburban train services from March 31 to April 3:

The following suburban train services will be partially cancelled between Tambaram – Chengalpattu.

Train No.40533 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 12.30 p.m

Train No.40535 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 1.09 p.m.

Train No.40539 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 1.47 p.m.

Train No.40540 Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 1.50 p.m.

Train No.40542 Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 2.25 p.m.

Train No.40544 Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local scheduled to leave Chengalpattu at 3.05 p.m.

The following suburban train services will be partially cancelled between Tambaram – Thirumalpur:

Train No.66041 Chennai Beach – Thirumalpur MEMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 9.50 a.m.

Train No.66042 Thirumalpur – Chennai Beach MEMU local scheduled to leave Thirumalpur at 1.45 p.m.
