The Achalam Art Gallery is hosting ‘Evolution,’ a solo exhibition of paintings by artist S. Venkatachalapathy.

The exhibition narrates the memoir of artist Achalam in his journey through the path of gradual artistic transformation. The paintings are arranged is such as way that they unfold the artists’ journey in the field of art from the age of five to 35 years: the paintings drawn during elementary education without the guidance of any teachers, those sketched after proper training in college and the paintings transfigured to suit the present art world. This exhibition is showcased once in every five years. Paintings using different mediums such as oil paintings, acrylic paintings, pen drawing, pencil shading, water colour, and pastels are on display. The exhibition is on till October 25, at No. 1/ 131, First Floor, Lakshmanaswamy Salai, First Sector, K.K. Nagar.
