Search for symbol

DMDK leader Vijayakanth gave more ammunition to those trolling him on social media after he fumbled while voting. Mr. Vijayakanth, accompanied by his wife Premalatha and their two sons, voted at Kaveri High School in Saligramam. At the box, he appeared perplexed on seeing 3 EVMs as there were over 40 candidates. He kept searching, presumably for a symbol, and unable to locate it, turned to his wife. Ms. Premalatha came to his aid and he was able to press a button and leave, much to poll officials’ relief and the amusement of on-lookers.

High-level complaint

Voters at a polling booth in Kilpauk waited patiently till CEO Praveen Kumar arrived to vote, only to complain to him about their names not being on the electoral rolls. Mr. Praveen Kumar listened to them and pacified them even as some said they would file a complaint.
