An unlikely case of encroachment greeted pedestrians on TTK Road on Monday.

A snake had made its way to one of the busiest stretches in Chennai, even as pedestrians struggled to find a way around the reptile.

The serpent coiled up after it found itself drawing attention. It swayed as if to get a better view of the amused crowd.

The shy creature soon slithered away from the scene. If only the other encroachments on the city’s footpaths would disappear just as easily.
