World Vision India, 16, VOC Main Road, Kodambakkam, recently released a book ‘Melae Vaanam Keelae Bhoomi,’ showcasing photographs taken by slum children on their streets in Chennai. The book was released at Art House, Kasturi Rangan Street, Alwarpet, during the inauguration of a photo exhibition under World Vision India’s Chennai Bala Jyoti Project.

R. Parthiban, director, inaugurated the exhibition and released the book. He gave away certificates to the student photographers in presence of Dr. Jayakumar Christian, National Director, World Vision India; Vidhayasagar, Director, Child Protection, UNICEF; and other eminent personalities.

Jayakumar Christian said that more than 50 photographs exhibited were taken by 20 children living on streets. The photographs speak about the day-to-day problems faced by children in their life.

The children attended a photography workshop conducted by R. Srinivasan, director, OHO Productions.
