The Indian Sleep Disorders Association (ISDA) is organising its 10 annual conference from April 18 to 20.
The conference, jointly organised by N. Ramakrishnan of Nithra Institute of Sleep Science, and Suresh Kumar, neurologist and sleep specialist at Vijaya Health Centre, will have around 150 delegates attending, a press release said.
The conference will focus on advances made in the field of sleep medicine, and lectures will be given by doctors from across the country and abroad. A workshop dealing with polysomnography, sleep apnoea therapy and paediatric sleep evaluation will be some of the conference’s highlights. Special attention will be paid to paediatric sleep disorders, the release said.
The aim of the conference is to promote awareness about sleep medicine among healthcare professionals as well the public.
A one-year fellowship course on sleep medicine, accredited by ISDA, will also be offered.
