Shipping company officials questioned

The managing director and two representatives of Mumbai-based Pratibha Shipping Company were questioned by the Shastri Nagar police on Friday.

The managing director and two representatives of Mumbai-based Pratibha Shipping Company were questioned by the Shastri Nagar police on Friday.

The company owns MT Pratibha Cauvery , the ship that ran aground near the Marina during cyclone Nilam earlier this month. Six crew members lost their lives. The company officials were questioned in connection with their death.

The statements of managing director of the firm, Sunil Pawar, and captains Sunil Kumar Rai and Avinash Mohan were recorded by the investigating officer.
