The second phase of Intensive Pulse Polio Immunisation (IPPI) campaign would be held in Tamil Nadu on February 7th.

According to a release from Tamil Nadu Health Minister M.R.K. Panneerselvam, around 70 lakh children below five years were covered in the first phase conducted on January 10th.

About 30,000 migrant and Sri Lankan refugee children were also covered.

Public Health department under the Health and Family Welfare has made elaborate arrangements in co-ordination with other departments for the conduct of second phase.
