A 20,000 sq ft school building constructed at Kshetra Vidyalaya, run by Kshetropasna Trust, in Maduvankarai near Sriperumbudur, was declared open by industrialist, B.K.Birla and his wife, Sarala Birla on Monday.

The new building, consisting of 36 classrooms, five laboratories and a library, has come up on a four-acre plot and the project was sponsored by Vinod Kumar Neotia, industrialist and former chairman of Gujarat Ambuja Cements, according to official spokesperson of the Trust.

Addressing the gathering after declaring open the building, Ms.Sarala Birla commended the Trust for its contribution to education. She expressed confidence that the Kshetra Vidyalaya would strive for holistic development of children under the able guidance of the Managing Trustee and school correspondent, Prema Pandurang and other Trust members – P.R.Krishnakumar and Pavan Podar. Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Neotia, brother of Vinod Kumar Neotia, recalled his brother's close association with the Kshetropasana Trust.

While thanking Neotia's family for sponsoring the school building project, Ms. Pandurang expressed her gratitude to the Birla family for their continued support to the Trust.
